This is my interpretation of power bitch dressing. Tess McGill had her shoulder pads, I have my lacquered Wang (I kept the big hair). Alexander Wang's Fall 2012 RTW collection was full of beautiful fabric manipulation - textiles were shrink-wrapped, laminated, plasticized. This is a sweater for a dystopian world. In the future, oxblood quilted wool will be treated as a rare commodity to be vacuum-sealed and preserved. The effect is a garment that stands away from the body, it doesn't bend or move easily at the will of the wearer. It's both sweater and armor. And why not pair it all with some light bondage wedge boots?
